ARISE & BUILD

Hurricane Helene tore through a large geographic area on Sept. 27, 2024, destroying homes, churches, and businesses, leaving countless people displaced.  More than 1,500 families in East TN were devastated by the floods.

Tennessee Baptists have committed to building new homes and repairing as many others as possible.  At the January 2025 Quarterly Conference, our church unanimously affirmed to call our congregation to raise $25,000, partnering with TN Disaster Relief and the Appalachian Service Project.

The new home pictured here is one of the first houses constructed as part of the Arise and Build Initiative.

The Tennessee Baptist Mission Board has partnered with the Appalachian Service Project to rebuild the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.

OBC, thank you for sacrificially giving over five weeks, raising $27,870 to build a new home for a family in Roan Mountain,TN.
