COVID UPDATES

11-19-20 UPDATE

We are continuing to monitor local cases of COVID and our prayers continue for those in our community and church that have tested positive.  Please continue to monitor your health.  Should you be experiencing any symptoms or believe that you have likely been exposed to someone with COVID, please remain at home and worship with us live at obclife.org/watch

Sunday Worship (Beginning November 29th)
We have taken the following steps to keep healthy those worshiping with us in-person:

•Please wear a mask when entering the building and until you find your seat.
•Masks are recommended during the worship service, but optional.
•The front areas under the wings of the balcony are designated for any elderly and immunocompromised who wish to keep a bit more distance.
•We have clearly marked pews and sections of pews that are unavailable for seating.
•Multiple hand sanitization continue to be located at the doors to the Worship Center.
•The bathrooms in the vestibule (closest ones to the Worship Center) continue to be available for the elderly and the immunocompromised.  These are cleaned periodically throughout the morning.
•When the morning service is over, should you desire to linger and talk, please do so outside the building.

Thank you for doing what it takes to keep each other healthy as we gather!

Wednesday Nights, Sunday Small Groups, and all other on-campus activities
Due to the present spike in COVID cases, these groups will not meet in person for the remainder of 2020.  This includes our remaining two weeks of Wednesday night groups (December 2 and December 9).

11-14-20
Due to increased positive cases of COVID in our community and church, we are canceling all campus activities through Thanksgiving and plan to resume worship in-person (with additional safety measures to be communicated soon) on November 29th.  It is our desire to keep our congregation and community as safe as possible.

Please pray for the 3 staff members who have tested positive: Pastor Jeremy Colloms, Jon and Lindsay Miller and the additional positive cases in our congregation.  We do not disclose the names of those who have medical conditions without their consent; we ask again for your grace and understanding.  All staff, due to direct exposure, will quarantine for 14 days.  We thank you for your prayers and ask that you monitor your health as well.

This Sunday
Visit obclife.org/watch at 10:30am (or after) for a POSTED  prayer and  sermon from Pastor Michael Bradley.

Samaritan’s Purse Shoeboxes
Pickup arrangements have been made for all shoeboxes that have already been given at OBC; if you planned to bring your shoebox this Sunday morning, please visit www.samaritanspurse.org to find your nearest drop-off location.

CLP, Wednesday Nights, and all other on-campus activities
All on-campus activities are cancelled until further notice.  We will update the congregation in the days ahead.

11-12-20
Some positive COVID cases have just come to our attention: two people were present throughout our campus last night have tested positive for COVID this morning.  Another person has tested positive that was not present last night, but was present Sunday morning.

Out of an abundance of caution we have dismissed the CLP, we will not meet physically Sunday morning for worship, and our staff will not be in the office the remainder of today.  We will keep you posted regarding alternative plans for Sunday.  Please continue to pray for the health of our congregation and community.
