In the Kid's Department at Ooltewah Baptist Church, we GATHER on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights to learn how to GROW in our relationship with Jesus. Our kids then use that knowledge to SERVE others and SPEAK about Jesus to their friends and the community.
Providing a fun and safe space for children to learn about God so that they become LIVES CHANGED BY JESUS!!

To be more like Jesus everyday…that’s the goal. And while discipleship takes a lifetime, the day-to-day work is no mystery.
On Sunday Mornings in OBC KIDS MINISTRY we use Bible Studies for Life on Sunday which is designed to intentionally move babies through preteens in the direction of Jesus Christ. As kids grow, their understanding of foundational truths grows with them.
This ensures every kid in our church has a transformative, age-appropriate encounter with God’s Word so that we can invest in this generation. At OBC we desire to disciple kids from the ground up!
MIDWEEK FOR PRESCHOOL
Hands-On Bible Curriculum which is a quarterly, age-graded curriculum. We follow a two-year scope & sequence guides kids through the Bible, as they learn and understand biblical truths and develop a deeper, thriving relationship with Jesus. Kids understand God’s Words, love it, and remember it for a lifetime.
MIDWEEK FOR K-5TH GRADE
Bible Skills, Drill, and Thrills offers a unique mix of activities that helps kids build strong Bible skills, strong life application, and a strong foundation for Bible engagement and memory. Weekly activities help kids explore the meaning of the Bible verses, key passages, and life application stories.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Join us June 16-20 for Vacation Bible School 2024! Kids will be challenged as they discover that God’s truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. Adventure awaits each day as kids explore tide pools, spot orcas, fly kites, and watch the mighty waves crash up against the immovable Breaker Rock!

Dropping off your child in a new place is overwhelming at times. Our desire is to make that step as easy as possible so that you enjoy your time with our church family!
Where do I bring my children on Sunday morning?
OBC Kids are located in the main building. Just ask any of our greeters and they will direct you where to go!
What will my child learn?
The Bible is the basis of every lesson and curriculum we choose in OBC Kids! Our teachers follow a guided curriculum for SUNDAY and our MIDWEEK groups.

Is registration required for OBC Kid's?
When you enter the OBC Kids area will be greeted at our check in table. Your child will be given a sticker with their name and an assigned number, and you will be given a label with the location of your child’s classroom and a matching number. After check in you will take your child to their classroom, our check in greeter will show you where you need to go. We do ask that parents not enter the rooms; our volunteers are happy to take your child’s bag and receive your child and any directions you may have at the door. When you return to pick up your child, please bring your label with you so our volunteers can match it with the sticker your child is wearing.
Tell me a little about your staff and volunteers?
We take the teaching and safety of your child as the most important things we do! Our staff and volunteers all go through a complete background check and affirm our Statement of Faith.
What security protocols are in place to protect my children?
OBCKids…wants every child to be seen and welcomed, learn about Jesus, and feel safe and secure. Volunteers go through regular training and background checks.
Hold on to the security tag(s) you receive at check-in because they will be needed to pick up your child(ren) after the service.
When you register for your visit, we recommend letting the OBC Kids staff know about any current Legal, Child Custody, Visitation, or Support issues that we may need to be aware of.
