God is good...

On Easter Sunday evening, Chattanooga and the Ooltewah area experienced tornados.  Many in our church suffered major damage to their homes, as did our church facilities and campus.  Just down the road from us, a local church  was totally lost and neighborhoods look like disaster zones.  In the days that followed this storm, we have seen our community and church rise to help others in a way that expresses the love of God.

We did experience damage on our church campus, yet God has been so faithful to provide incredible disaster relief teams and local contractors who have moved quickly to our side.   We are so blessed and so thankful.

Below are a few pictures that serve as reminders of where we have been so that we can faithfully remember to praise God for where He is leading us.

DOCUMENTS TO KEEP YOU UPDATED

Starting the Hope Center in the midst of crisis...

The Hope Center is born out of a vision to serve our immediate mission field around our church.  God has provided in an amazing way through a partnership with St Andrew Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida.  We are looking forward to what God continues to show as The Hope Center grows!

We sent out teams...

SERVE teams from OBC were deployed to help our church families and community in the aftermath of the storm. These pictures only show a glimpse of all the teams that were sent out to help others.  More pictures to come.  Thank you to those who prayed, you are just as much a vital part of the SERVE team as those on the ground.

We had teams sent to us...

Disaster Relief Teams from all over the state of Tennessee and beyond came to our rescue and saved our church and community thousands of dollars in debris removal cost.   Our local SBC Associations in Hamilton County and Bradley County were the first on the scene to help our church in our time of need.   This shows the strength of cooperation between local churches when we live on mission together.  Thank you!
